Welcome to Kindle Mate for macOS or Windows software (hereinafter "the Software") developed by Kindle Mate (hereinafter "we", "us" or "our") and distributed via our official website (kmate.io) in app/dmg format. These Terms of Service (hereinafter "the Terms") are a legal agreement between you (the User) and us, defining the rights and obligations of both parties concerning the use of the Software.

Important Notice: Before using the Software, carefully read and understand these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy. Your download, installation, launch, or use of Kindle Mate constitutes acceptance of all aforementioned documents; if you disagree, do not use the Software.

1. Scope of Application and Effectiveness

• These Terms apply to all individual and commercial users who download or use Kindle Mate via our official website or legally authorized third parties.

• These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties, superseding all prior oral or written agreements. If conflicting with mandatory laws of your jurisdiction, such laws shall prevail.

• We may modify these Terms due to legal updates or functional adjustments. Modified Terms will be notified via official website announcements or in-app pop-ups; your continued use within 7 days of the announcement constitutes acceptance of the modifications.

2. Software License

• Grant of License: After purchasing a subscription or one-time payment for Kindle Mate, each valid transaction authorization allows activation on up to 5 devices. System reinstallation/upgrade does not affect authorization, and you may restore purchases on activated devices. No new devices can be activated after 5 different devices are authorized; you may release a license by performing "Deactivate" on an authorized device. Use must comply with the Software's system version requirements, limited to personal or legitimate commercial use (per your subscription type).

• Restrictions on Use: You shall not:

  • Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile any part of Kindle Mate, or attempt to obtain source code without our prior written permission;

  • Transfer, lease, lend, share Kindle Mate or its license to third parties, or share it for simultaneous multi-user use;

  • Remove any copyright notices, trademarks, or other intellectual property marks of Kindle Mate;

  • Use Kindle Mate for illegal activities or to infringe third-party legitimate rights and interests.

• Termination of License: The license terminates immediately if you violate these Terms, voluntarily stop use, or the Software ceases operation. Upon termination, you must immediately uninstall/delete all copies of Kindle Mate and cease all use.

3. Subscription and Payment Terms

Kindle Mate's subscription and payment services are supported by Paddle (a third-party payment/subscription manager). You must comply with Paddle's terms and our Refund Policy. Core terms:

• Subscriptions & Fees: Select subscription plans (e.g., monthly/annual) via our official website. Fees and payment methods are subject to the website; payments are collected by Paddle.

• Auto-Renewal: Selecting auto-renewal means you agree to Paddle's automatic deduction for the next cycle before expiration. We will remind you via Paddle or official channels. You may cancel auto-renewal anytime via your Paddle account or our subscription portal.

• Payment & Refund: Detailed processes, invoices, subscription changes, and refund rules are subject to the Refund Policy and Paddle's regulations.

4. Privacy Protection

We value your privacy. Collection, use, storage, sharing, and cross-border transmission of personal information during your use of Kindle Mate comply with our Privacy Policy. 5. Intellectual Property Rights

• All intellectual property rights of Kindle Mate (including source code, name, icons, algorithms, and updates) are exclusively owned by us, protected by local copyright/trademark laws and international conventions.

• These Terms only grant a use license, not intellectual property transfer. You shall not claim rights to Kindle Mate or engage in infringement.

• Third-party open-source components or authorized content in Kindle Mate are owned by third parties; you must comply with their license terms.

6. Software Updates and Technical Support

• We may release Kindle Mate updates (e.g., optimizations, bug fixes) via our official website. You may download updates automatically or manually.

• Paid subscribers are entitled to reasonable technical support (method/hours per website). Free trial users only have basic feedback channels.

• We do not guarantee perfect operation on all macOS versions/devices. We are not liable for incompatibility or device-related issues but will endeavor to provide solutions.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

• Kindle Mate is provided "as is". We do not guarantee no defects or that results meet your expectations; you bear use risks.

• We are not liable for losses caused by force majeure, third-party issues (e.g., Paddle malfunctions, macOS update failures), or your operational/device problems.

• We are not liable for indirect losses (e.g., commercial losses, data loss) unless caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

8. User Obligations

• Comply with local laws and these Terms; use Kindle Mate legally and do not engage in illegal activities or harm third-party rights.

• Keep your Software login credentials (if any) secure and be responsible for all account activities. Notify us promptly if your account is stolen; otherwise, bear resulting losses.

• Use legally authorized macOS systems/devices; do not install/use Kindle Mate on cracked or pirated systems/devices.

9. Other Supplementary Terms

• Severability: If any clause is invalid or unenforceable, other clauses remain binding.
