1. Data Collection

KMate stores all your notes, vocabulary, and reading data locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit personal information. The optional Amazon Cloud sync feature only reads your Kindle notes — no other data is accessed.

Online dictionary and AI features send only individual words or phrases for translation/definition lookup. No bulk data is ever transmitted.

2. Local Processing

All import, organization, and export operations occur entirely on your local device. Your Kindle clippings data never leaves your device.

We use standard macOS security features including App Sandbox to protect your data.

3. Third-Party Services

Optional integrations with Google Translate, Bing Translate, Gemini AI, and DeepSeek AI only send individual word queries. No personal data or bulk content is shared.
